Big Ideas,
Real Impact.

phase 1

Phase 1 — Building the Foundation

We are a family with a dream, starting completely from scratch. Our first location is intentionally small and housed inside a shared studio space — and that choice is part of the mission.

You may have noticed the word “Wandering” in our name. That’s because our vision changed from one large storefront to a small, community-centered book spaces throughout Ellis County.

Why small? Because lower overhead allows us to keep books affordable for families who are often priced out of building home libraries. Rather than relying on high book markups, our mission is supported through our STEAM gift shop, community support, donations, and intentionally small spaces.

Phase 1 includes:

  • Opening our first shop location

  • Expanding access to affordable used books

  • Investing in bilingual and culturally inclusive books

  • Hosting Spanish story times and community literacy events within the studio space we call home. (Studio 406- they are THE best!)

phase 2

Growing Through Education & Community

As we grow, so will our focus on hands-on learning and educational experiences. In addition to our STEAM gift shop — which helps sustain the foundation of our mission — we hope to expand into science and health science classes designed especially for the homeschool community. These classes will be led by our owner, who has a background in Emergency Medicine and a passion for making health science approachable, exciting, and accessible for children.

We are planning a Fall 16 week semester for homeschool kids and hope to expand to summer camps and weekend classes.

Wandering Bookstall is built on community support. Whether through donating books, shopping small, volunteering, attending events, or simply sharing our story, every contribution helps us place more books into the hands of children and families across Ellis County.

Together, we hope to create spaces where literacy feels welcoming, affordable, and accessible to everyone. If you have any questions or want to set up a donation pick up/drop off send us a message!
