At this time Wandering Bookstall is not a registered 501 (c)(3) non profit organization, so contributions are not tax-deductible.

We believe nonprofit organizations should exist to serve a charitable mission, not to benefit a privately owned business. Because many of our community events are hosted and run by our brand they exclusively benefit Wandering Bookstall financially. We feel this is a conflict of interest and wouldn’t be appropriate to use federal grants and non-profit benefits.

Instead, our free events are made possible through the generosity of locals businesses, sponsors, and community members who believe in our mission as well as sales from our STEM Shop/Classes. We believe this approach keeps us accountable to the families we serve and supporters who invest in our community. We are committed to transparency and welcome any questions. We will post often about our community impact!

Contributions help support our mission in community literacy and STEAM initiatives for local children.

Funds may be used for:

Materials to host free STEM events for kids

Books for little libraries & our public library’s kids section

New little libraries in high ESL areas

Classroom/Teacher book sponsorships

Bilingual/Spanish literacy resources

STEM activity supplies and materials to lower cost of classes

Camp scholarships for local children to our future camps (Summer 2027)

Prizes for our NO PURCHASE Summer Reading Program

Used Books for our $1-5 Selection as part of the bookstore experience mission

As we grow, we are committed to maintaining transparency about how our contributions are used and the impact they create.

Yes! We plan on offering literacy events, STEM activities, camps, and education programming with needs for volunteers. We especially welcome educators, professionals, tradespeople, and other STEAM community members who would like to share their knowledge through book readings, demonstrations, workshops, or lectures. Message us!

June: Free STEM Activity Saturday served 25 kids! Free Creature Teacher Event

July: Fill a bag and pay what you can event for Ellis County Educators. Story time and Crafts.

August: Story time and Crafts, Back to School Community Support TBA
